Communications

How We Contact You

Parents / carers will be kept informed on school matters by letter, email, text, phone, apps and blogs and Facebook. Letters are also stored on the school website for easy reference. Where not sent via email, letters will normally be given to the eldest child to bring home, so please check regularly that letters are being received.

It is the school's preference to issue letters via email. Please advise the school if you DO NOT wish to receive letters electronically.

Regular updates will also be sent through a 'parent to teacher' app called See Saw and class updates with photos will be shared via a class blog.

Texts will be issued for immediate or urgent communications such as a club being cancelled and school closures would be notified on the school website home page.

There will be an opportunity to meet with your child’s teacher to discuss progress in the Autumn and Spring term and an interim report will be issued at the close of these terms. An Annual Report will be sent home at the end of the Summer term.

If you need to talk with your child's class teacher please catch them after school or arrange an appointment via the school office.

Newsletters & Questionnaires

Information on the curriculum is issued at a Year Group level every term and a Headteacher's Newsletter issued every month. Copies are retained on the school website.

Parents are invited to complete questionnaires from time to time to provide the school with important feedback. Parents are also invited to complete the Parentview Questionnaire on the OFSTED website.

Sharing and Shine! Assemblies

Parents are welcome to attend a Class assembly once a year, usually on a Friday. Dates for these assemblies will be included on the school diary of events.

Individual invitations will be issued each term for Shine! assemblies and these are usually held on the last two Friday afternoons of each term. Please see the school diary to confirm.
