Fourfields Community Primary

" I know every Head Teacher is proud of their school and I am no exception. I work with an outstanding team, many of whom have been at Fourfields for the majority of their teaching careers. Why have we all stayed? We love and believe in what we do, we know what works for us and we are passionate about making a difference to the children in our community. We stand by our school motto- Shine!

We want that our children will be SUCCESSFUL learners, that they will be HAPPY during their time with us, Receive INSPIRATIONAL learning in a NURTURING and EXCITING environment and we live by that creed.

We are extremely proud to have been named Britain's Happiest School in a recent competition and I feel this speaks volumes about our school community. Happy children and happy staff make for happy learning which is what Fourfields can offer you and your child.

We are committed to driving our amazing school forward in every way we can. We recognise that in order to be where we are, we have to know the latest thinking and we have to be reflective in our own practice to be the very best we can for our children at Fourfields. We are immensely proud of our relationship with the University of Cambridge in Initial Teacher Training and it is satisfying to see those students now working in schools (not to mention home grown ones we now have here at Fourfields). We work with other schools, supporting them and helping create a system where we will all only get better.  But we know that everything we do must always be to support our own children's learning.

People say we are an academic school. That's true. We expect and achieve high standards. They say we are a sporty school, again that's true and our trophy cabinet is full to bursting with recent success. Others say we offer an inclusive and supportive place for children who don't find life easy and, again, that's true. We are also so much more.  We have huge ambitions for our children and want them to be the very best.  Most importantly our children want that too.  They are proud of their success and we celebrate it as much as we can.  Our parents are highly engaged and a huge part of our success.  They come with us on a journey where everyone is encouraged to SHINE!

If you choose Fourfields, what can you expect? An innovative and exciting curriculum, most definitely. Extra curricular clubs and Wow! experiences including archery, tobogganing and golf. Staff who will genuinely care for your child in every way and a school which takes advantage of the ever changing educational landscape.

Children leave us with firm foundations.  It is our role to develop them from tiny 4 year olds into well-rounded, confident individuals ready for the next exciting step of their journey into secondary school life.  We work closely with our parents to achieve this and enjoy equal partnerships and shared values with them.

Fourfields is all about the people, our ethos and the way we treat each other. Come and experience the spirit of Fourfields. Come and see why we all SHINE!"
